Seasons

I went shopping today with a friend, and I noticed something that I used to feel so much excitement for....
WINTER CLOTHES!!!!!!
Well well, to my disapointment, I was unable to completely throw myself into the world of "WINTER."....
That's when it dawned on me... Although I love the weather and palm trees, beach and sand, I really really loved the winter. Don't get me wrong now!!! Those days of walking with your body clinching to itself, for any possibility of warmth, were pretty brutal... Not to mention trying to leap over mountains of dirty snow in the city! Just as you make it over, your foot is submerged in what looks like a dirt slushy... (Yummy)Boy, I definitely could do without those moments.

What I loved most was the change in clothing. Going from flip flops to closed toe, to boots and socks... Going from tanks to jackets, then a nice trendy (but practical) coat.. Match that with a warm scarf, gloves etc and your good to go... Goodness! And that's just the outerwear. Don't forget beauty that lies under the coat!! That's what was so fun!! No one knows what you look like until you "reveal." lol... I remember those days I used to have to but on my rain boots just to keep my feet and bottom half of my outfit from getting wet. ANYWHO!!! WAAAAAYYY TOOO DEEP!...lol

Today I tried on this cute little leather jacket, and my friend was like "Uh Uh!! It is too hot for that!!!" To me it felt like a jacket compared to the reality of my past preparation for winter. SHEESH!! Not even a jacket? Darn, Florida is growing on me a little, but this definitely set me back.. I might have to go spend some NY time to help me with my winter withdrawal!! YIKES!

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Everywhere in Life, everyday, every moment you are faced with decisions.
Some easier than others...
Have you ever felt like you were suddenly indecisive in almost everything?
Have you ever been left feeling like your every decision is a life-changing one?
Well, right now I am feeling like I'm at a cross-road.
Do I keep straight, or do I turn left or right??
Am I ready to turn?
Naaahhh... Keep straight and before I know it, another cross-road...
My mind goes a mile a minute as I try to stall my answers to make a choice.
How long can I stall? Not too long..lol.
Anywho, here I am at the cross-road
Sitting, studying, thinking, looking.
I look behind me and I know I have come a long way,
but damn, is it long enough?
Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

6 months In Music

Well, I have been living here in Florida for 6 months now... I must say that I never thought I would actually move down here. My family tried for years, but had no success. Now, 3 years out of college I find myself living back at home. Life is amazing.
Before moving down here, I lived check to check in a studio basement apartment. Shortly after I decided to move, to start a life in LA... Before I made it there, music reached out and grabbed me, taking me on a 6month journey around the US and Canada. Little did I know that this journey was a life changing experience that would forever be remembered.
In 6 months ( in FL) I have been helping my parents run their restaurant Ginger Bay Cafe. That has been an experience in itself. From fights in the alley, to employees quitting, to customer appreciation gifts, life is pretty interesting.
To top it off, I have just started learning the acoustic. I fell in love with this instrument on tour. I have yet to play a full song but know I will soon. Music has become my life down here. At work, during the week... Music, music, music. In NY my focus was acting only. Now I am surrounded with live music, studio sessions, and a swarm of talented peers that share my interests... I love it... Fl, isn't so bad at all.
